Hero's

There are many definitions for what a hero is. Some people consider their fav celebrities hero's, others turn to leaders in their religions there are even those people who turn fictional characters like Spiderman because they consider the morals, actions and good deeds behind him to be heroic. For me however and most other people left over from the other catergories our hero's are ordinary people who do not get put in the lime light and do good things everyday and make a difference in someone's life. For me I find that the Foo Fighters say it best in their song Hero when they say "there goes my hero, he's ordinary.", my hero is a person whom is selfless and has contributed to the happiness of many children. He is a brilliant doctor and a marvelous human being, my hero is Dr. Christopher Coombs. Who's yours?

Although I whole heartedly agree with the Mikael one, I'm gonna have to be predictable and go with my mum. She's always there for me even when I upset her and asks for little in return. I think she's one fantastic lady :)

unlike others who do turn to fictional hero's, my hero to is just an ordinary person or should i say my hero's are ordinary poeple. I classify my family and close friends as my hero's because they have all helped me in different ways to overcome alot of things in my life that i know i could have never come out of by myself. Belinda you are definatly one of my top hero's.. thank you

I have to agree with you in your definition of what a hero really is. Those are the people behind the "limelight" My hero would also be my mom. Though we disagree often, I push myself to go on facing difficult things because she inspires me so much...by the way thanks for leaving your comment on my post. You're the first one to comment on my first blog.

My hero is my wife's mother, a Holocaust survivor who so often did kind things or helped people around her, be they a friend or a stranger.
